Advertise on the roads
Ekene's map has six roadside billboards, standing in the long empty stretches between cities — the way real boards stand along Nigeria's highways. On phones, one banner runs along the foot of the list view. That's all the advertising there is. No ad networks, no popups, and no sponsor ever learns anything about our players. Every sponsor is hand-approved, painted into the world like it belongs there.

Every player who drives that stretch sees your board — it sits in the world itself, and tapping it opens your link in a new tab.

The rate

Exclusive is yours alone. Shared is shared with at most one other brand; each page load shows one of you. Bundles on request.
A booking runs 30 days from the day it goes live, or 10 days on a shared board. Book up to two months ahead. We'll confirm exactly which days you're paying for.
Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link in naira or US dollars. In US dollars, Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, Cash App Pay and Amazon Pay too, where they're offered to you. Nigerian bank transfer also works.
Prices don't include tax. The final charge may be slightly higher.

Availability

Book your spot
- Choose a spot, exclusive or shared, and a start date. Upload your design: a PNG or JPG, 600×300 for a board or 960×150 for the banner, at most 150 KB. A logo or one bold word reads best.
- Pay at checkout. Your payment is held until we approve your design. With Afterpay or Affirm, a first instalment may be taken straight away; it comes back to you if we don't approve.
- We look at every design within 2 days. If we approve it, the payment is taken and your ad goes live on your start date. If we don't, the hold is released, anything already taken comes back to you, and we email you what to change.
- Your ad links wherever you want players to land.
Or write to ads@ekene.app with who you are, which road you'd like (or the banner), and exclusive or shared. Nigerian bank transfer also works that way.
The terms
- Cancel any time before your run starts and we refund you in full. Once it starts, it isn't refundable.
- If Ekene is down for more than a day in total during your run, we add those days to the end of it.
- If a payment is disputed, your ad comes down until it's settled.
- Book your next run within 30 days of the last one ending and get 10% off. Book with the same email and it comes off at checkout.
- After your run, we email you how many players saw your ad and how many tapped it. Ask any time for a mid-run update.
- We delete designs we don't run after 30 days, and keep the ones that ran for a year.
- This page and your booking email are our agreement.
House rules
Welcome: businesses, events, and good-natured banter. Not welcome: deception, hate, political or religious campaigning, adult content, or gambling. We approve every creative by hand and we can decline any; the decision is final, and you're welcome to try again with something else. You pay only after we approve your design.
A note on what this is not: Ekene shows no programmatic ads on these boards. We count how many players see and tap yours, and we tell you those numbers, never who the players are. It's a billboard in a game about roads. That's the charm.
