EKENEa Nigerian bus transportation game

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 July 2026

Ekene is a free browser game built by Lotanna Igwe-Odunze. The short version: you can play without signing up, your progress is saved in your browser and on our server, and the analytics are anonymous and cookieless.

Playing without signing up

If you don't register, the game knows only a random identifier for your browser and the company name you chose — no email, no password.

If you choose to sign in

Signing in is optional; it carries your company between devices. With an email code, we receive and store your email address, used only to send the code. With Google, we receive and store your email, name, and profile picture; none of it is shown to other players. Accounts are handled by our backend provider in the United States; there is no password.

Deleting it: "Sign out on this device" only forgets you here. To delete the account and everything attached to it, ask us at feedback@ekene.app — it does not come back.

Your game progress

Your save is kept in your browser and copied to our server in the United States, tied to your account. We can see it and we keep backups; that is how a lost company can be restored.

Deleting it: "Start a new company" in the Motor Shop deletes your save from our server and your browser. If you have never signed up, and your browser has neither saved nor opened the game for 90 days, we delete it automatically — opening the game counts, even if the save does not go through. Signed-up accounts are never deleted this way. You can also just ask — feedback@ekene.app.

Analytics

To understand how the game is played and to find bugs, Ekene uses an analytics service (United States) in anonymous, cookieless mode. It records gameplay events, your company name and home city, rough progress, device basics, and error reports, counted per browser by a random identifier. No advertising tracking, no fingerprinting. Our web host's aggregate analytics watch page-load performance.

Hosting

The game is served by a major hosting provider, which processes standard connection data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site. We don't see or keep that data.

Feedback

If you use our feedback form (hosted by Tally) or email us, we receive what you write, plus your email if you include it. We use it only to improve the game.

Payments

We process payments you make in the game using Stripe. We never see your card or payment information — everything goes through Stripe. All we receive is Stripe's confirmation that you have paid, which we keep against your account as the record of what you own. Where we have them, the confirmation also carries your company name, home city, and the date your account was created, so that record still makes sense if you later delete your account.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't show third-party ads. We don't use tracking cookies. We don't collect anything the game doesn't need. The in-game roadside billboards are part of the game world — they load no third-party scripts and track nothing.

Children

Ekene is suitable for general audiences and playing collects no personal information. Signing in and buying are optional; under-18s should buy only with the card-holder's permission.

Changes

Ekene is an early build and will grow. When something here changes, this policy is updated and the date above changes with it.
